Communication in VAREK
The Communication section brings all of the housing company’s conversations into one place. The board, shareholders, the accountant and specially invited external participants can talk in channels whose visibility and posting rights follow each person’s role and the channel’s settings.
You’ll find Communication in the left-hand menu. The page shows the channel list on the left and the selected channel’s messages on the right.
What’s in Communication
Section titled “What’s in Communication”- Channels — public, private and apartment-scoped channels for different conversations. The board and admins create channels and manage their rights.
- Messages — sending messages, @-mentions, threads, attaching files, message search, pins and scheduled messages.
- Announcements — announcement channels where only admins can post, plus
@kaikkialerts and their email digest. You can also choose which channels send you notifications. - External chat (Connect) — a shareable link that lets, for example, a builder or consultant join a single channel without logging in. The link can be protected with a join password.
- Emails (Sähköpostit) — send targeted emails to housing-company members and service providers straight from VAREK, with attachments. Each recipient gets their own copy and nobody sees anyone else’s address.
- Text messages (SMS) — board-sent SMS broadcasts to shareholders, tenants and other members; reaches everyone including those who don’t follow the app or email.
- Info screen — a no-login view for a stairwell tablet or TV that shows announcements and upcoming bookings and refreshes itself.
