What is VAREK?
VAREK is a housing-company management service that brings together a housing company’s responsibilities, claims, finances and communication. It’s built especially for new-build properties (RS properties) to track construction warranty periods and claim deadlines, so no important deadline ever lapses.
Two product lines
Section titled “Two product lines”VAREK is available as two products:
- VAREK Reklamaatio — a focused, more affordable product for claims and warranty management only (defects, claims and deadlines, inspections, documents and PDF annotation, and AI claim drafts).
- Whole-company plans (Basic, Pro, Property management) — these add finances, communication, bookings, the maintenance log and meetings on top of the above.
If your housing company has VAREK Reklamaatio, you’ll only see the sections related to claims and warranty; the other sections belong to the whole-company plans. You can upgrade the plan at any time. Read more: Products and plans.
Who VAREK is for
Section titled “Who VAREK is for”VAREK has several user roles, and the interface adapts to each one:
- Board (chair and members) — manages the whole housing company: defects, claims, finances, members and settings.
- Shareholder — sees their own apartment’s details, their own invoices and the company’s shared information, and can file defect reports and make bookings.
- Accountant — has access to the housing company’s finance module and reports.
- Consultant — gets limited, individually granted permissions (e.g. to a single claim).
What VAREK tracks
Section titled “What VAREK tracks”VAREK is built around the lifecycle of an RS property — from the construction phase through the handover of administration, the move-in and one-year inspections, the warranty period and the 10-year liability, all the way to the end of liability. Its core feature is tracking claim deadlines: claims expire in three years unless renewed, and VAREK reminds you of deadlines automatically.
Getting started
Section titled “Getting started”- Sign in at app.varek.fi.
- Choose your housing company (or create a new one if you’re setting one up).
- Explore the left-hand menu — the Omat sivut (My pages) group holds your personal info, and the other sections appear according to your role.
